Ashrita Raman

Hello! My name is Ashrita and I am currently a software engineering analyst at Blackrock working in the Aladdin Product Group. I'm a December 2020 graduate from Cornell University and majored in computer science and minored in music and linguistics.

My main interests lie in the fields of natural language processing, machine learning, iOS development, and full-stack web development. Additionally, I am passionate about the intersection between computer science and music, specifically the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning with classical music.

At Cornell, I was a member of Cornell Design and Tech Initiative (Cornell DTI), a project team that creates technology for community impact. On DTI, I was an iOS developer for eve, an app that allows students to track events across campus and share them with others, and a technical product manager for CU Apartments, a website that helps the Ithaca community find reviews and information about housing and landlords.

When I'm not coding, you can find me playing piano or violin: at Cornell, I was a part of the Cornell Symphony Orchestra, and currently, I am a part of the Riverside Orchestra. I also like to eat my way around NYC, play tennis, go on runs along the East Side river, and drink an excessive amount of pumpkin spice lattes during the fall.
